As a new year begins, you may be considering a few home renovations to update your living space.  Whether you wish to focus mainly on the bathroom, kitchen, living area, or all three, ceramic will be one of the most popular materials to incorporate.  Let’s take a look at the ceramic trends of 2025 that we will be seeing in many homes this year.

Why Ceramic?

Ceramic tiles are becoming more popular. This is partially due to their versatility. Not only are they functional, but they are also aesthetically pleasing, offering several shades that can suit any style preference.

When ceramic tiles’ colors, textures, and shapes are combined, you create a unique space that portrays who you are.  The ceramic can then be highlighted using an assortment of mixed materials to showcase the room(s) as a whole.

Sustainability

Sustainability is thankfully becoming more of a consideration when individuals shop for any product.  If you’re hoping to be more eco-conscious and create a home that gives priority to environmentally friendly options, we now have more options than ever before.

Recycled glass and reclaimed wood are becoming more popular but if you can’t find an option that suits the vision you have for your space, ceramic is another wise investment.  With proper care, ceramic tiles can last for a minimum of 50 years.  Their durability ensures that they don’t need to be replaced frequently, and some say they can last 75-100 years when treated correctly!

Warm Tones

We may be accustomed to seeing warmer tones used solely in kitchens but it’s time for the warmth to spread into other rooms!  For example, the ceramic trends of 2025 make it clear that washrooms don’t need to be cold and appear sterile.  Instead, some of the popular tones this year include colors such as bronze, earth tones, and even charcoal.

Bronze adds warmth that can be included in many different types of aesthetics.  Charcoal is often the deeper shade selected when wanting to add comfort. As for earth tones, well, these are quite self-explanatory.  Various green hues like sage or brown colors such as terracotta not only bring you closer to nature but can also make you feel like you’re at a spa!

Earth Tones

Tying in with warm tones, earth tones are having their own moment in the spotlight.  The use of brown hues throughout the home is seeing a rise in popularity, especially, after Pantone named Mocha Mousse their 2025 Color of the Year(Céramique D’Amico was ahead of this trend as seen below with our Capuchino tile).

Capuchino

From Spiced Cider to Nutshell, brown hues are also included on HGTV’s Home by Sherwin Williams’ Color Collection of the Year for 2025.  While we’re seeing various shades of brown on this list, there is no singular shade that is better than the rest for every single home.  This makes it easier to add even a touch of brown to your unique living space.  Whether you prefer a light oak or a dark walnut, there is something for every aesthetic.

Cotto Nature Sicilian Olio

If browns aren’t quite to your liking, there are many other earth-tone options on this list as well.  Cotto Nature offers more of a red/orange undertone. Or, Liso Fuego can add a more intense red.

Olive

Olive offers a mixture of brown with a slight deep green undertone, Reverie adds a touch of blue, and Sequin adds a golden sunshine yellow.  All of these options help to bring nature into the home in delicate ways.

Vibrant Colors

If the green or brown earth tones don’t do an adequate job of complimenting your personality, don’t stop there!  Choose deeper or more vibrant colors that will match what you wish to feel while you’re in the room’s environment.

Liso Fuego

For example, fiery reds such as Liso Fuego can be used as accents that are sure to pop.  Or, they can be even used as full wall treatments if you want to make a bold statement.

While we won’t tell you exactly what to do in your own home, we do encourage balancing the red tones with more neutral tones elsewhere in the room.  As seen above, the red backsplash is balanced with a nice white countertop and teal paint.

Berry Tones

Chalky Series- Deep

If you’d like to find a median between the earthy tones and the vibrant colors, berry hues are another option.  Blueberry tones, a deep cranberry… many options give you a nice amount of color without being overly “loud”.

Tile Shapes

While square and rectangular tiles are beautiful and are perfect for certain aesthetics, they have also been used frequently.  For 2025, let’s take the opportunity to experiment with different shapes and patterns. Maybe you’ll be the one to create the newest ceramic trends!

Tropic Cotto

Shapes like diamonds and hexagons are becoming increasingly popular.  They create movement and more intricate patterns give the eye more to look at.  Herringbone is another option that offers an elegant pattern.

If you have a more creative pattern, you may want to balance it out with a more subtle color for the wall color.  Or, if your motto for 2025 is “Go big or go home”, do both!  Make a bold statement by using an eye-catching color and a unique pattern.  It’s your home that should reflect your style.
